TESTIMONY OF HEAVEN AND HELL BY PASTOR PARK YONG GYU
Testimony of Pastor Park Yong Gyu
South Korean Pastor Park Yong Gyu did not believe in the existence of heaven and hell. He had been a Presbyterian pastor of a 5,000-member mega church for 20 years. He also owned property worth U.S. $150 million which included 5 luxury cars. One day, hehad a rude awakening when he died and visited heaven and hell. When he came back, he was neverthe same person again. On 19 December 1987, when Pastor Park was 50 years old, he began to feel an unbearable excruciating pain just after he had finished his lunch. He felt as though he was going to die – and he died from high blood pressure. After he had lost consciousness, he saw two shinning angels enter his room. They informed him that he was already dead and God wanted them to show him heaven and hell. The angel to his right introduced himself as the angel who ran errands for Jesus in his kingdom. The other angel, who was standing to his left, introduced himself as his guardian angel who had been with him from his birth until the moment he had died.Pastor Park told the angels that he was not ready to meet the Lord. He thought that Jesus was going to rebuke him for the way he had lived his life as a prideful and arrogant man. He was very scared and begged the angels to go back and ask the Lord to heal him first. The angels ignored him and they took off his filthy clothesand clothed him in a white robe. They grabbed Pastor Park’s hands and they flew at great speed through space. The earth became smaller until it disappeared from sight. As they flew heavenwards, Pastor Park saw some people in white robes also flying heavenwards. When he asked for an explanation, one of the angels told him that those were the soulsof people who had trusted in Jesus Christ and had served God faithfully with all their hearts. They had died and their souls wereheading toward heaven.Pastor Park and the angels arrivedin heaven and stood outside a closed gate. Pastor Park asked theangels why the gate was not opening for them. He was informed that it was because he was not singing the heavenly worship songs. He told them that he could not be able to sing heavenly worship songs since he had never heard them before. The angels began to sing and as they sang, Pastor Park began to sing with them. The gate opened itself and they entered into heaven.Pastor Park could not describe heaven with earthly words as it is indescribable. Although he did notsee the Lord, he heard the Lord say, “My beloved Pastor Park YongGyu, I welcome you. You have made a long journey here.” The Lord’s voice was overflowing with love and tenderness. The Lord then asked him five questions which were:*.How much time did you spend reading the Bible?*.How much did you give as offerings?*.How many times did you evangelize to people?*.Did you tithe properly?*.How much time did you spend in prayer?Pastor Park could not answer the fifth question. The Lord rebuked him and told him that after he hadbecome the pastor of a mega church, he had become very lazy and he hardly prayed at all. Being very busy, the Lord told him, was no excuse. The Lord told him that the angels would take him on a tour of heaven and hell.A Tour of HeavenThe angels first took Pastor Park to visit little children who were living together in a community. Each child had a guardian angel. The children did not have their own individual homes and Pastor Park wanted to know why. One of the angels replied that just as people on earth needed materials to build their homes, the angels also needed materials to build people their heavenly homes. The angel went on to explain that since the children had died when they were below the age of accountability, they had no time to accumulate good deeds that would have translated into building materials for their heavenly homes. That was why they did not have homes in heaven.Pastor Park wanted to know what one was required to do in order toprovide enough materials for theirheavenly homes. He was told that one needed to do seven things which were:*.Time spent praising and worshiping God*.Time spent praying*.Time spent reading the Bible*.Time spent evangelizing topeople*.One’s offerings to the Lord*.One’s tithes to the Lord*.Time spent serving the churchPastor Park, out of curiosity, wanted to know where the children lived since they did not have homes of their own. He was informed that they lived right where they were in the garden of flowers. The garden was so beautiful and the fragrance and the scene were beyond what Pastor Park could describe with human words.Homes of the FaithfulNext, Pastor Park visited the place where the faithful adults who had served the Lord with all their hearts lived. He saw very many homes built with beautiful gems and rare stones. The place looked like downtown heaven. Some of the homes were as high as the highest skyscrapers on earth. The people who lived there lookedyoung and one could not discern their gender as there is no gender in heaven. No one was sick or deformed in any way.Pastor Park recognized a man he had known who had died at the age of 65 years. He had been a very short man who had suffered from rickets. He had written manyBible commentaries. In heaven, he was no longer short or sick; he was tall, handsome and healthy. The saints lived in very nice homes. The four people who had the biggest and most beautiful homes in heaven were Dwight Moody, John Wesley, an Italian evangelist, and a Korean Pastor called Choi Gun Nung. The angels told Pastor Park that the four had spent their whole lives evangelizing and had borne much fruit for the Lord. There was also a Korean lay believer who had a very large home. He had built many churches, fed the poor and hungry, financially helped pastors and church leaders, and paid tuition for students studying for the ministry. He had also taken in a 65-year old pastor into his homeand taken good care of him. In spite of all this, his own church had kicked him out.At that particular moment, the angels showed Pastor Park some building materials that were arriving in heaven. They belonged to a poor deaconess from a small church in South Korea. The angels told him that the deaconess went to the early morning service each day, prayed for 87 church members daily, and when she finished praying, she cleaned up the church. That day, her daughterhad given her a little money but instead of spending it on herself, she had bought 5 eggs and 2 pairsof socks for her pastor.Pastor Park also met a Korean church elder called Choi who, among all the Korean elders and deacons, had the most beautiful home in heaven. His home was much higher than the tallest building in Korea. Choi had built many churches in Korea with his own money.Homes of the UnfaithfulThe next place that Pastor Park visited was for the saved people who had nothing to show for theirsalvation. Pastor Park and the angels arrived there riding a very fast golden chariot. The place was very far away from the beautiful places in heaven. There were no beautiful homes there. The peoplelived in a village of enormous size which was several times bigger than the place for the faithful souls. The homes there were for the souls who had almost nothing to show for their salvation. They lived in very shabby huge wide flathouses. The shape of the houses reminded Pastor Park of large chicken coops or some type of warehouses. The angels took Pastor Park to seetwo large homes occupied by pastors and other church leaders who had not been faithful to the Lord. He noticed that the two homes were humongous. He saw thousands of pastors, church elders, deacons and other church leaders living there. Their clothes were also shabby. His impression was that the place resembled a chicken coop.Pastor Park recognized many famous pastors from the past. One was a famous Korean pastor who had done a lot of work for the Lord. Pastor Park could not understand why that pastor was there instead of being in the otherbeautiful place. One of the angels informed him that the pastor had not provided any building materials for his home in heaven. He had loved to be honored, served and complimented by people. There had been no sacrifice and servitude on his part. That was why he was living in a community home. His Heavenly HomeOut of curiosity, Pastor Park wanted to see his own house in heaven. The angels told him it wasstill in the process of being built. They entered the chariot and traveled very far away to another place in heaven. The place looked as though it was still in the process of development. Pastor Park could not understand why hishouse had not been finished in spite of all he had done for the Lord.He had sold his only home to buildhis church which had grown to 5,000 members. He had written many books inspired by the Holy Spirit. One book had become a best seller. With the proceeds from the sale of his books, he had built Christian schools and one school had produced 240 pastors. He had also given over 400 scholarships to poor children. He had also built homes for the widows. He could, therefore, not understand why his home was unfinished. The angels informed him that he had not sent enough material to complete his home because everything he had done was meant to get honor, praises and approval of people. He was even honored by the secular news media for his good works. That was why all his good works were in vain because instead of glorifying God, they had glorified him as a person. When Pastor Park entered his unfinished house, he saw two certificates hanging on the wall ofone of the rooms. The first described what he had done whenhe was 18 years old. One day, he had seen an elderly man shivering with cold and he had taken off his jacket and given it to the man. That deed had earned him a reward in heaven. The second certificate was for buying some bread for the same man with the little money he had.Visit to HellNext, the two angels escorted Pastor Park to hell where the soulsof the cursed and damned were. He was surprised by the enormity of hell as it appeared to be a thousand times larger than the earth. Half of hell was red and the other half was pitch black. The angels informed him that the red part was filled with burning sulfur while the black one was in total darkness. People were tormented in both parts of hell.Pastor Park wanted to know how many souls were in hell. In reply, the angels told him that for every soul that went to heaven, one thousand souls went to hell; a ratio of 1 to 1,000.The angels first took Pastor Park on a tour of the red part of hell. He had no words to describe the place. It is almost impossible for one to imagine how hot and unbearable hell is. The people repeatedly shouted that it was toohot, they were very thirsty, and they wanted water.Pastor Park asked the angels whatthose people had done to deserve being thrown into that part of hell. One of the angels told him that the people had either refusedto believe in Jesus Christ or they had believed in Jesus but had not repented their sins.Pastor Park saw many pastors, church elders, deacons and other believers in hell. He recognized some of them who had served God on earth. He had thought they had gone to heaven after they died. He wanted to know whythey were in hell instead of heaven. One of the angels told him that although they had served God very well on earth, they had not repented their sins. They had appeared to be good and true Christians on the outside but theirhearts were not right with God as they were involved in some secret sins. Many did not tithe properly, hardly prayed or read the Bible, and had not evangelized. Others had criticized and opposed the authority of their pastors.Pastor Park saw a Korean king anda prince who had persecuted Christians and beheaded many of them. They were placed at the center which was the hottest place. He also saw Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, a famous pastor from North Korea called Kang, a famous Japanese hero, and many more people.Pastor Park and the angels eventually arrived at the extremelydark part of hell. It was so dark that he could not see anything. A light from the angels shone into the place and he was able to see what was happening there. He saw countless naked people with their whole bodies completely covered with crawling insects. They kept trying to drive the insects away but in vain. They were also gnashing their teeth. Healso saw demons piercing and stabbing people’s stomachs with sickles. Their screams were deafening and unbearable. It was indeed a very frightening scene.Pastor Park asked the angels for an explanation. One of the angels explained that those people had good jobs, wealth, houses, were well-clothed, well-fed, and had lived comfortable lives. But they were selfish and had not given to God, helped the poor or their churches. They had not done anything good. They were very stingy and greedy and only cared for themselves and their families. That was why their stomachs werebeing pierced for they were full of greed.Pastor Park also saw some people’s heads being hacked off by a very sharp saw. When he asked the angels what they had done, one of the angels replied that those people had spent muchof their time thinking and imagining evil and filthy things.Next, Pastor Park witnessed a horrible sight where people were being stabbed and cut into pieces. He wanted to know why they werebeing tormented in such a way. Hewas told those people were selfishchurch elders and deacons who did not want to serve in their churches.Pastor Park also saw other church elders, deacons, and other lay leaders being tormented by the demons. The demons would make a hole in their tongues and place wires in the holes and then connect their tongues together. Then the demons would drag them with the wire. When Pastor Park asked for an answer, one of the angels told himthat those people had criticized and spoken negative things about their pastors. Secondly, they had insulted the church of Jesus Christ. Thirdly, they had harassed other Christians to the point where some stopped attending church and believing in God. They had also done all they could to stop the faithful Christians from serving the Lord.Pastor Park also saw demons piercing the stomachs of men andwomen with very huge sharp nails. The angels informed him that those were unmarried people whohad lived together and had never repented their sins. They were alsoguilty of committing abortions.Pastor Park also saw the demons slicing some other people’s lips like one slices meat or vegetables. In answer to his question, one of the angels replied that those people had disrespected their parents and in-laws by talking back and insulting them. That was why their lips were being sliced to pieces. The AftermathThe angels informed Pastor Park that since his family was crying out to God with much sadness and sorrow, God was going to grant him a little more time to live on earth. His life was extended foranother 20 years. When Pastor Park finally woke up, he found out that he had been in acoma for four months. While he was in a coma, the doctors had given up hope and had said that he would eventually die. For the first four years, Pastor Park was unable to speak due to his condition. After he had recovered, Pastor Park was never the same person again. Nothing was valuable in theworld any more except to serve God and other people. He gave away all his property worth U.S.$150 million, including his 5 luxury vehicles and clothes. He had realized that earthly materials will not benefit one if not used to helpothers in need and also to glorify God.The issue here is not whether this story is true or not. What is at stake is where you will go after you die. God is so loving and that is why he reveals these things to warn you since he does not want you to end up in hell or to be ashamed when you get to heaven. This story is a warning to those who do not believe in Jesus Christ. If you do not believe that Jesus paid for all your sins, then you will spend your eternity in hell paying for them yourself. Secondly, the story is also a warning to Christians who are not living right before the Lord. If this applies to you, you need to repent, before it is too late, and start living a righteous life before the Lord.
